Description
This pack of inquiry lessons will help your students discover some of the properties and theorems that they will be using in high school Geometry class. When they investigate with these guided discovery activities, they will develop the principles themselves, which helps them understand the properties more deeply and remember them better!Along with the guided activity sheets, these lesson packs include a variety of different practiceopportunities and reference booklets or sheets to extend beyond the initial investigation activity. Check out the images for more details about the inquiry materials that are included. The following investigations are included:– Exterior Angles of a Triangle– Circle Theorems– Vertical Angles & Linear Pairs– Complementary & Supplementary Angles– Angle Relationships Along Transversals– Triangle Sum Theorem– Triangle Inequality TheoremReviews from other teachers:-My kids had such a great time with these activities. Thank you!-These were great to build a deeper understanding of why it all worked. Thanks!-Great, comprehensive, and students really like them! -As always, i like all ur files. Everything is clear and students like it ! -Even though I have done discover/inquiry based lessons in the past, the way these are grouped together was much more effective. I was also able to save class time and cover more material in less time. Thank you! -As always, a great product -The activities were great and helped the students see the relationships. -Worked well to reinforce skill. -I love discovery labs! The students learn so much from them. -Thank you! This was a great additional to our interactive notebooks!-Another quality resource, ready to go and covering exactly what we needed it to. Hands-on, scaffolded enough to allow students to work independently and be successful without my needing to run around to 20 “stuck” kids at a time. Thank you!-Awesome Geometry resource!-My students have retained more information this year by learning through activities like these.
